Death by Grading


The days of "teaching" something, letting students practice or study, and then testing them is over!  We must facilitate learning, progress monitor, reteach, progress monitor, assess along the way, and document that students can apply skills in a variety of ways.  We all need multiple drafts and opportunities to refine our work. We need friendly critique, editors, a second set of eyes, and collaboration in order to produce a quality product, piece of writing, project, assignment, lesson plan, lesson, etc...
