Authentic Student Work

I've recently added some examples of student work that is going on at NSE on the Principal's Page. If you get a chance, check it out. The recent additions begin with Mrs. Davis' class and the play that they performed about the child labor laws. The next one is a snapshot of Mrs. Eckenroth's and Mrs. Davis' class collaborating in the Design Center to design and create habitats using school materials. The next one is a picture of our SS Survival Shop Club members making survival bracelets to sell. The money from their sales go to help the homeless. The final post has to with Mrs. Duck's Culinary One on One program. This program was adopted by the district's Innovative Incubator initiative and is really making an impact.

There is a lot of great authentic work being designed by our students and teachers that help make very important connections to the Common Core Standards in the classroom.
